Nicolas Maduro addressed Donald Trump: yes, peace, yes, peace

Maduro warned the US against entering another long-term conflict. He turned to the Americans: “let's unite for peace (America). No more endless wars. No more unjust wars. No to another Libya. No to another Afghanistan.”

Asked if he had a message for President Donald Trump, he replied: “Yes, peace, yes, peace.”

He did not answer directly whether he was afraid of possible aggression from the US. He only replied that he wanted to govern the country peacefully, reported CNN, which spoke to Maduro in Caracas.

Lindsey Grahan: I don't consider Maduro a legitimate leader, but a drug smuggler

On Thursday, influential Republican senator Lindsey Graham emphasized on X that Trump considers Maduro an “illegitimate leader whose days are numbered” and noted that he agrees with his assessment of the situation in Venezuela.

“For those wondering what's going on in Venezuela, you should understand that President Trump is very serious about ensuring that Venezuela, a narco-terrorist state, stops poisoning Americans with illegal drugs,” a close Trump ally wrote on X.

“I do not consider Maduro a legitimate leader, but a drug smuggler who has been indicted in American courts,” said the influential senator.

He expressed his belief that the 41st US President George Bush Sr. “he got rid of the Panamanian leader Noriega under similar conditions.” Former Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega was overthrown by American military intervention in 1989.

“There is a drug caliphate in our backyard, consisting of Venezuela, Colombia and Cuba. I am very glad that President Trump is committed to ending this reign of terror. The sooner Maduro leaves, the better for the people of Venezuela and the United States,” Graham said.
