Young man detained by the Police, in Bucharest, after trying to steal a foreign deliveryman's scooter. Passersby intervened

A 20-year-old man was detained by the Bucharest police after trying to steal the scooter of a delivery man, a foreign citizen. He was stopped by traffic policemen and passers-by, being immobilized because he had an aggressive behavior.

The Capital Police announced on Thursday that the policemen from Section 10, with the support of the policemen from the Road Brigade, caught red-handed and later detained a 20-year-old young man, after he tried to commit a robbery, in Sector 3, reports News.ro.

Thus, the policemen of the Road Brigade intervened to resolve a conflict on a street in Sector 3 and immobilized, complying with the legal provisions, a young man who allegedly tried to steal a scooter from a man, a foreign citizen, having an aggressive behavior.

The policemen of Section 10 came to support and took the people involved to the headquarters of the subunit, to establish the factual situation and take the necessary legal measures.

“From the investigations carried out, it was determined that the 33-year-old man, a foreign citizen and employed as a deliveryman, was traveling on a scooter to make a delivery, at which time he was stopped by a person who, through acts of violence, tried to dispossess him of the vehicle. Several people in the area intervened to support the victim, and the policemen of the Road Brigade, who noticed the conflict, acted promptly to prevent the escalation and restore public order. Considering the aggressive and recalcitrant behavior of the suspect, he was immobilized, according to the legal provisions”, reported the Capital Police.

The detained young man was presented to the magistrates with a legal proposal.

The investigations are continued by the policemen of Section 10, under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Court of District 3, for robbery.
