The highest GDP growth in three years. The economy is accelerating

Based on sparse data from the economy, economists expected growth of 3.7 percent. year on year in the third quarter and they did not disappoint. The Central Statistical Office announced on Thursday that the dynamics of the Polish economy is determined by the GDP indicator it amounted to 3.7 percent. according to non-calendar-adjusted data. After calendar adjustment, it looks the same, i.e. 3.7%. up. This is the highest growth rate since the third quarter of 2022.
Is it a lot or a little? The assessment is determined by other economies in the region, and the data available so far shows that a lot. In the third quarter, only Ireland's economy grew faster, by as much as 12.3%. y/y according to calendar-adjusted data. Compared to other EU countries, the dynamics is 3.7%. looks very good. We recorded growth at the Irish level in the second quarter of 2021, but it was a rebound after the Covid economic collapse, so it is difficult to compare it with Ireland's current result.
Growth thanks to KPO
In any case, the main engine of economic growth is the money flowing to Poland from KPO, which translates into the reported increase in investments. It remains to be seen how much these investments will prove to be a real driver of growth in the future, but for now we can see their growth, which translates into the GDP indicator.
