Mihai Stoica (60 years old), the president of the Board of Directors at FCSB, announced that he will begin a 7-day fasting period, on the occasion of his 21st anniversary of quitting smoking.
The official of the title champion in the Superliga wants to take advantage of the international break in this way, as FCSB will return to action on November 22, when it will host the match of the 17th stage, against Petrolului Ploiești.
In November, FCSB will play away with Red Star Belgrade, in the fifth stage of the Europa League group, and in the domestic championship, with Farul Constanța, also away.
Mihai Stoica and the “mini-adventure” he is starting: “I chose this picture in which I overflow with seriousness”

“Today, on the day I turn 21 since I left a last cigarette in a corner on the shelf, I'm going on a new mini-adventure, a 7-day fast. I leave the comments open, but I only respond to on-topic ones. That's why I chose this picture in which I overflow with seriousness. Don't swear because it's not nice, plus Lent is starting!”, wrote Mihai Stoica, on his personal Facebook account.
Two hours before this post, Mihai Stoica shared a memory on Facebook from a year ago, in which he revealed that it was 20 years since he quit smoking.

Mihai Stoica, at “Prietenii lui Ovidiu”: “My mother didn't know that I smoke!”
Invited 5 years ago to the show “Prietenii lui Ovidiu”, moderated by the director of Gazeta Sporturilor, Ovidiu Ioanițoaia, Mihai Stoica revealed that he was afraid to smoke on the show “Procesul Etapei”, lest he be seen by his mother.
“You allowed us to smoke. I know that “Procesul Etapei” was on Channel 31. My mother didn't know that I smoked! It was in '93-'94? In 1995! I was 30 years old then. At 30 years old, advice to those who are very young… I knew my mother didn't want to see me smoking and out of respect I didn't smoke in front of her. And I didn't smoke if Channel 31 was broadcast in Galati. How could it not be caught in Galați, I smoked on the show!“, declared Mihai Stoica then.
In 1995, MM was president of the football section at Clubul Sportiv Oțelul Galați, a position he held from February 1992 to June 2002. Oțelul Galați qualified for the 1997-1998 and 1998-1999 editions of the UEFA Cup. After leaving Galati, he accepted the position of executive director at Steaua, starting in June 2002.
