In honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory, 80 poplars were planted by railway workers at the Chernorechenskaya station in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

As part of the campaign, employees of the Krasnoyarsk Directorate of Passenger Facilities planted 80 silver poplar seedlings: each planted tree became a symbol of memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. Young poplars will become the basis for the future “Victory Square” at Chernorechenskaya station.

After the trees take root, the railway workers plan to lay walking paths here, install benches and equip recreation areas. The square will become not only a reminder of the feat of front-line soldiers, but also a comfortable space for passengers and residents of the village.

It should be noted that the Krasnoyarsk Railway is a permanent participant in all-Russian and regional environmental events. In the Krasnoyarsk Territory alone, over the past five years, as part of actions aimed at restoring forests, highway employees have planted almost 40 thousand seedlings of trees and shrubs.
