Seven residents of Krasnoyarsk will stand trial for a fight at the Yuzhny market, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office reported.
The incident occurred in March 2025. Market security guards quarreled with truck drivers from Dagestan. Having learned about the incident, seven people arrived at the scene and stood up to protect the drivers.

“Three market workers became targets of aggression: they were hit with punches and kicks. The apotheosis of “finding justice” was an aerosol can of pepper gas, which one of the attackers used,” the supervisory agency noted.
Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened under the article “Hooliganism with the use of violence” (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The prosecutor's office has now approved charges against the attackers. The criminal case will be considered by the Central District Court of Krasnoyarsk. The defendants face up to 7 years in prison.
Let us note that conflicts at the Yuzhny market in Krasnoyarsk occur regularly. In 2022, police, with forceful support from the Grom special forces detachment, detained market workers who had fought due to personal hostility.
