Tauron's great investment. Gas will replace coal


In February this year. The Management Board of Tauron decided to replace the construction plan in Łagisza 400 MW gas block with a cogeneration unit with a capacity of 120 MWe and 140 MWT, adapted to supply with zero -emission fuels, heat battery and the unit in Power to Heat technology – an electrode boiler. On Thursday, Tauron Ciepło confirmed this information, specifying that the hybrid system for the production of heat and electricity It will replace the coal unit currently operating in Łagisza, which, as planned, is to be turned off in 2030.

The heat supplier also announced that in 2025-27 he is planning modernization of almost 4 km of heating networks in Dąbrowa Górnicza with an estimated value of approx. PLN 21 million. The company submitted a request for co -financing from the Feniks program (European funds for infrastructure and environment).
