President Nicușor Dan holds a press conference on Wednesday, from 12.00, at the Cotroceni Palace. According to Adevărul information, the theme of the conference is Romania's defense strategy, which will include corruption.

The head of the statute also has a meeting with the leaders of the coalition and representatives from the judiciary on Wednesday, from 16.00, at the Cotroceni Palace. The president decided to convene them after discussions with the leaders of the ruling parties, on Tuesday, in the context of the decision to be taken regarding the project aimed at modifying the pensions of magistrates.
At the same time, the meeting comes as a result of tensions generated between the leaders of the formations in power, after the rejection of the initial project by the CCR.
The Government took responsibility in Parliament on an initiative that would bring magistrates' pensions to 70% of final net salary and raise the retirement age to 65, gradually over 10 years.
The CCR rejected the initiative, citing the lack of the CSM's opinion, which had to be waited for 30 days.
