63 -year -old man detained by police for fire for two cars. Supervisory cameras capture the moment of incident


A 63 -year -old man was detained by the police in the Capital, after setting up two cars in Sector 1. The man is not known why the man would have resorted to these facts.
The incident took place on July 12, 2025, when the police were notified, by appeal to 112, about the outbreak of a fire at a car parked on a street in Sector 1, according to the information provided by the General Police Directorate of the Municipality of Bucharest (DGPMB).
Shortly after, a similar incident was reported – another car, in front of a hotel in the same area, would have been burned. In both cases, the police officers of Section 2 went to the scene and confirmed the existence of fires. Fire textile articles were discovered, and the cars had traces of destruction.
Following the research, the investigators established that the same person would be responsible for both facts. The man was detected on July 30, by the police officers of Section 21, on a street in Sector 6, and led to hearings.
Based on the administered evidence, it was ordered to withhold for 24 hours, and it is to be presented to the magistrates with the legal proposal.
The investigations are continued by the police within the Police Section 2, under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the District 1 Court, in the aspect of committing the crime of destruction.
