Grindeanu claims that USR must be in government: “We are honest, faithful partners. This does not mean that, if we have something to say, we don't say it”

The president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, states that his party will remain a faithful partner in the governing coalition and supports the continuation of collaboration with the USR.

Asked if USR should still be in government, the PSD president replied that “Mrat the moment, yes”.
“Right now we are in this coalition, as you well know. A decision made by almost 5,000 people. About 4,700 of us voted. But that does not mean that there cannot be, if things are not set on a normal path, a constructive path, there cannot be another decision. But yes, as long as we are in this coalition of four parties plus the group of minorities, we are honest, faithful partners, we are moving forward. Also, this does not mean that if we have something to say, we are not expected from us, the largest party, to have a humble attitude. We are not expected to say our views, to try to correct them, as you well know. We are not in North Korea“, declared Sorin Grindeanu.
Grindeanu's statements come in the context in which former PSD president and deputy Marcel Ciolacu recently stated that USR should leave the governing coalition:
“From my point of view, the USR must leave this coalition. (…) We have nothing, no doctrinal closeness, we have absolutely nothing in common with the USR. We are totally different from the USR, we believe in other principles, in other values”, Ciolacu transmitted.
