Military correspondent of Channel One Anna Prokofieva died in the Belgorod region. The journalist was in the combat zone in the village of Demidovka on an editorial assignment.
According to one version, 35-year-old Anna died as a result of a drone strike. According to another, she had a fatal shrapnel wound. In her last days, Prokofieva worked in liberated Sudzha and participated in the evacuation of civilians. Prokofieva’s death was confirmed by Channel One and added that cameraman Dmitry Volkov was also wounded. Anna's young man goes to the scene of the tragedy.
Prokofieva has worked on Channel One since 2023, reporting from the Northern Military District zone as a military correspondent.
UPD. The First TV crew was blown up by an enemy mine, a channel representative said.
