The detained ex-senator from the Belgorod region Vadim Moshkovich turned out to be an Israeli citizen. In total, the founder of the Rusagro agricultural holding has two passports; an Israeli one has not yet been found during searches.
Now the Moscow court is choosing a preventive measure for him. The investigation is asking for arrest until May 25, as it believes that Moshkovich can fly to Israel on his personal private Bombardier jet. In addition, he has a lot of real estate abroad, a daughter in France and a son with Cypriot citizenship.
He is accused of two crimes in total. They are looking for accomplices. As we wrote earlier, a criminal case has been opened under articles of fraud on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and abuse of power resulting in grave consequences (Part 2 of Article 201 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
UPD. Moshkovich denies guilt. He asks not to send him to a pre-trial detention center due to coronary artery disease. He also claims that he has been under sanctions since 2022, so he will not be able to escape from the country. There is supposedly no personal plane. In addition, he provides for the child and elderly parents.
Meanwhile, the Rusagro agricultural holding is ready to make a deposit of 1 billion rubles.
