November 6thMaria Chistyakova, a resident of the Sverdlovsk district of Krasnoyarsk, celebrated her centenary, the administration reported.

Woman born in the Tambov region, later moved to Lipetsk. In my youth I encountered the Great Patriotic War: I saw the Germans face to face, dug trenches, and helped the front.

In the 60s, Maria Nikolaevna came to Krasnoyarsk, got a job at a tire factory, where she worked until retirement at a machine for vulcanizing aircraft tires.

“The terrible war years strengthened a woman’s character and taught her to appreciate every day. Despite the hard work, she always found strength for her family: she raised a granddaughter, two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Maria Nikolaevna’s life path is an example of perseverance, hard work and boundless love for her family. At 100 years old, she has retained a clear mind and maintains physical activity,” the administration said, adding that the entire Chistyakov family are long-livers.

Maria Nikolaevna is a labor veteran, home front worker, awarded four anniversary Victory medals.
