George Simion insists on the blocks for migrants, after Ciucu contradicted him: “I'm waiting for the mayor of Bolojan, to explain to me if this is Bucharest or Kathmandu”

George Simion reacts after Ciprian Ciucu, the mayor of Sector 6, accused the AUR leader of lying “knowingly and shamelessly” when he claimed that a block in the area had been specially rehabilitated for migrants, while Romanians lived in unkempt buildings.

On Thursday evening, Simion resumed the topic of blocks for migrants on Facebook.

“The fact-checkers and journalists paid by Ciucu must come here: Preciziei 14, block F bis. I'm waiting here for the mayor of Bolojan, to explain to me if this is Bucharest or Kathmandu”.

In the images accompanying the AUR leader's message, two foreign citizens appear, whom Simion asks where they are from. The answers of the two are heard from Nepal and Sry Lannka, repeated by the politician.

We remind you that Ciprian Ciucu reacted harshly on Thursday, after George Simion published a photo on Facebook in which he claimed that a block in the sector had been rehabilitated especially for migrants, while Romanians lived in unkempt buildings.

“How can you knowingly and shamelessly lie to people, George Simion? The block it is actually a private block, under hotel regime, where Romanian and other nationalities construction workers stay temporarily. I personally checked in the morning. You let it be understood that the city hall rehabilitated that block because said Ciprian Ciucu.

The mayor also emphasized that the non-rehabilitated block is on the list of buildings to be rehabilitated.

“The non-rehabilitated block is on the list of blocks that will be rehabilitated. The thermal cladding only depends on the budget. We are rehabilitating at the rate that the money we have attracted allows us to do. This while we are building and rehabilitating dozens of schools and kindergartens. During my mandate, 362 blocks were rehabilitated. As resources are not unlimited, it is only normal that you cannot reach everywhere at once”. Ciucu sent.
