Mircea Sandu (73 years old), former international and president of the Romanian Football Federation, was this week's special guest of the “Friends of Ovidiu” show.

Coming to the country for a short period, Mircea Sandu revealed to Ovidiu Ioanițoaia that he moved to France, in the same city where his daughter, Raluca Sandu, lives: “We live in France, but separately from my daughter. I live with my wife, she is with the children.”

“We are there with great joy to be able to help them, however we can. We live in Beausoleil, where it's a mild climate for us over 70s. Winter is non-existent, there are plus temperatures and this is to our advantage“, says Mircea Sandu.

The former president of the FRF stated that he lives in an apartment in France, and he comes to Romania with his wife “two or three times a year”.

“We stay roughly the same amount of time. About six months. In the summer, we generally stay in Romania from May to September. Our country is so beautiful that it's worth walking through it,” said the former official.

Asked about the differences between Romania and France, about Bucharest and Beausoleil, Mircea Sandu made the comparison during the show. “There, apart from the climate conditions, which are extraordinarily good, the utilities are cheaper than in Romania.”

“The food from France is of better quality than that from Romania”

He completed his answer: “There is only electricity there, no gas, and we pay very little. In fact, Andone also said that in Spain there is the same situation, in Marbella”.

“The food, qualitatively, from my point of view, being very careful about what I eat after the operation 16 years ago, is superior. Prices, about there. Sure: lots of fruit, lots of vegetables, fish“, Mircea Sandu also declared.

In Beausoleil, taxes are lower than in Monaco

Beausoleil is a small French town located in the southeast of the country, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, in the Alpes-Maritimes department.

It is a special place, because it is right on the border with the Principality of Monaco, it is practically attached to Monte-Carlo and is often considered an “extension” of it.

Mircea Sandu permanently moved to France » Comparison with Romania:

Beausoleil

Beausoleil is set on the slopes that dominate Monaco, offering spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. It was conceived as an elegant residential area for those who worked or lived in Monaco but wanted a residence in France.

According to statistical data, taxes are lower than in Monaco, which is why it attracts professionals and young families. And the local economy is closely related to tourism, services and real estate.
