CSM Bucharest has found a coach for the match with Sola in the Champions League! Urgent exemption requested at EHF

CSM Bucharest leaves for Norway tomorrow for Saturday's match against Sola in the Champions League. After the dismissal of Adrian Vasile, the team will be led to Saturday's match by Iulia Curea. It does not have a “master coach” license, which is mandatory for Champions League matches.
The club notified the EHF about the dismissal of Adrian Vasile and is waiting for a derogation from the European forum for the last two games of this year in the Champions League, so that the team will be led by Iulia Curea, a coach enrolled in the “master coach” course.

After the dismissal of the coach Adrian Vasile due to Sunday's defeat with Odense, score 30-36, and the resignation of the team manager Cristina Vărzaru, CSM Bucharest was left uncovered in the two positions 6 days before the match in the 7th stage of the Champions League with the Norwegian team, Sola.

In the end, Iulia Curea will lead the team alone in the last two games of this year in the Champions League, becausee CSM Bucharest asked the European federation for a derogation from the regulation, for this case, considered force majeure. There have been cases when some teams did not have “master coaches” on the bench in the Champions League and the clubs were caught and penalized only with a warning or a small fine.

Curea is 43 years old and is the second coach of the Romanian national team, which will participate in the World Championship in Holland and Germany in November.
