Louis Munteanu (23 years old) is depressed after staying at CFR Clujalthough there were two clear offers for the Gruia club. For one of them, the representatives of the two clubs even met, in order to initial the documents, but the move fell through at the last moment.
CFR Cluj is sitting on a powder keg, taking into account the position in the ranking, but what is worse is the fact that the star of the team, Louis Munteanu, the best player of Cluj, is not going through a good period at all.
“When I saw I was staying here I thought I was going to fight for the championship or something, but it looks like I'm fighting for relegation! It's a disaster! We're all upset” was the message sent by the 23-year-old striker at the end of the 1-2 defeat against Dinamo.
Two offers refused by Nelu Varga for Munteanu
According to GSP.RO information, there were two clear transfer offers for Louis Munteanu this summer: one from Dinamo Zagreb and another from Rennes.
Both were refused by the team owner, Ioan Varga, even if, in the case of negotiations with French officials, the Cluj players had reached the last hundred meters to complete the transfer.

According to the information obtained by Gazeta Sporturilor, Dinamo Zagreb offered 8.5 million euros for the striker, while the French from Rennes came with an offer of 10 million euros.
“With Rennes, almost everything was completed. Only the signatures were missing, everything was ready, but the dust was settled in a few minutes”said sources from inside the club.
“The two sides met face to face with all the papers on the table! €10 million for a permanent transfer, performance bonuses and percentages of a future transfer, but it all fell apart in the end”stated the sources cited by GSP.RO.

The conditions for Louis Munteanu to leave CFR Cluj in the winter
With only two goals in 15 matches, Louis Munteanu hopes to leave CFR Cluj this winter. However, this time too, Nelu Varga's claims are extremely high.
Important influencers who groped the market for Munteanu talk about “a definitive transfer for at least 10 million euros, performance bonuses for CFR Cluj, but also at least 15% of a future transfer”.
Raul Rusescu, a former international striker, launched harsh criticisms towards the leadership in Gruia, considering that Nelu Varga mishandled Munteanu's situation and “put the 23-year-old international on the back burner”.
“What's happening with Louis Munteanu should be studied by all managers, sporting directors and coaches in League 1. How CFR handled this situation… Disastrous! It's not just the player's fault, it's also the club's fault. First of all, the club's fault. They handled the situation of a player with very good quality execrably“, Rusescu pointed out at GSP Live.
Gigi Becali wants him, Nelu Varga doesn't even want to hear it
The owner of FCSB, Gigi Becali, held a discussion in the last few days with his counterpart from CFR Cluj, Ioan (Nelu) Varga, to whom he made an offer for a “package” of players.

Considering the unprecedented financial crisis in Gruia, Becali proposed to Varga two transfers for the total sum of 5.5 million euros, of which 80% was to be transferred in the first installment.
According to GSP.RO information, the concrete offer was 4.5 million euros for Louis Munteanu and 1 million euros for Lindon Emerllahuincluding percentages of the performances of the two players in the champion's shirt, in the first year of the contract.
Those close to the boss from Cluj revealed that the offer was categorically refused: “Emerllahu is non-transferable and Louis only leaves for at least 10 million euros.”
Louis Munteanu asks you for 60,000 euros per month, do you give it to him? Well, you're ruining all your magic. What do you do with the other players? You can't give him 60,000 euros! He said he wanted to be number 1. Goodbye!
