Hermannstadt lost the match with Oțelul Galati on Sunday, score 1-3, and reached five failures in a row in the championship.

Although they were outnumbered after Selimovic was sent off in the 13th minute, the hosts opened the scoring in the 14th minute, through Karo. Steel equalized until the break (Paulinho – 39'), and in the second half managed to break away through the goals of Andrezinho (57') and Conrado (71', penalty).

Hermannstadt have not scored a single point in the Superliga since the surprise victory at Rapid on September 21.

The series of defeats that followed is only interrupted by the success achieved this week in Chiajna, 1-0, in the groups of the Romanian Cup.

In the championship, Măldărășanu's team occupies the penultimate place, with 10 points after 15 stages.

Steel climbed to 22 points and is in 6th place.
