Drama in League 2! CS Tunari, 21st place in the second echelon, second to last, is to be dissolved, as a result of the decision taken by the mayor Cristian Niculae.

The situation at the Ilfov team worsened recently, and at the weekend they lost at home, 0-1, against CSM Reșita. As the crisis deepened and the team is currently on the verge of relegation to League 3, the mayor of Tunari stopped talking and put his foot in the door.

On Monday morning, an emergency meeting was held in the offices of the League 2 team, and Mayor Niculae made the decision to disband the team, according to prosport.ro.

CS Tunari, on the verge of extinction

As a result of the discussions held on November 3, the mayor of Tunari announced to both the staff members and the players that the activity will stop at the club.

In the next round, CS Tunari should play against FC Bihor, on Saturday, November 8, from 11:00, but the mayor made the decision that the trip will not take place. The reason why the Ilfov team has reached the edge of the precipice is determined by financial problems.

After 12 stages of League 2, CS Tunari occupies only 7 points, having only one win, 4 draws and 7 failures.

Constantin Budescu, the first player to leave Tunari

The first player to part ways with Tunari, before news of the disbandment was confirmed, is Constantin Budescu. The attacking midfielder ended the partnership with the team he had reached in the summer and announced that the termination came after the match with CS Dinamo, which took place two rounds ago.

“We decided that it is better for both parties to terminate by mutual agreement! There were not many discussions, we simply have different ideas! I did not terminate now, the decision was made for a long time, and after the match with Dinamo we decided to sign the termination!”, said Budescu, for digisport.ro.

At CS Tunari, Budescu played seven matches for the Ilfov team, during which he scored a goal, on his debut with FC Voluntari, in the 6th stage, from a shot from 11 meters.

It is not the first time that the mayor enters the locker room and decides what happens in the team

The arrival of the mayor of Tunari to inform the people of the lot about the abolition is not a first. In September, he entered the team's locker room to dismiss Bogdan Pătrașcu, after the 0-2 defeat at home, with CS Afumați, in the 7th stage of League 2.
