In the Rucheyok kindergarten, one of the oldest in the mining town of Borodino, street playgrounds were transformed with the support of the Melnichenko Foundation and SUEK-Krasnoyarsk.
Now each of the nine groups, which is two hundred children, has its own unique space for safe play and development.
“The kindergarten begins with the territory where children play,” noted the head of the kindergarten, Olesya Botyanovskaya, at the grand opening of the playgrounds. “Today we can safely say that our street locations are an educational space where there is everything: safety, aesthetics, game forms in which children are interested in playing and exploring the world.”
Bright slides, unusual bodyboards, swings – new play forms were chosen taking into account the existing ones, so that they harmoniously complement the children's playgrounds both functionally and in color. Representatives of the city administration, the Borodino open-pit mine, and the parent community came to congratulate the children on such a transformation of the territory.
“It is very important for children in what environment they grow up,” emphasized Olesya Ivanina, deputy head of the city of Borodino for social and political work, congratulating the kindergarten staff and its students. “I hope that this big project is not the last, and that our kindergartens will continue to improve!”
“Such large-scale changes would not have taken place without the sincere love of the employees of the preschool educational institution for their work and students,” added Elena Novosad, deputy manager of the Borodino open-pit mine for personnel and administrative issues.
The Borodino Mine Youth Council made the holiday even more enjoyable: they gave educational games and “Miner’s ABCs” to the kindergarten students. The children themselves prepared a surprise: they presented the guests with an incendiary dance flash mob, poems and hand-made postcards.
“We now have new beautiful venues! — five-year-old Vera says with a smile. – They are very interesting. We are already playing them so joyfully!”
Creating comfortable and safe living conditions in mining towns is one of the most important tasks that SUEK-Krasnoyarsk coal miners are tackling together with the Melnichenko Foundation and city administrations. Thanks to this interaction, today in Borodino, Nazarovo and Sharypovo the projects that won the 2024 All-Russian competition for the best projects to create a comfortable urban environment are being implemented; in the summer, urbanfests were held in several cities, during which existing public spaces were transformed, and as part of the All-Russian public art festival “Smena”, bright and modern murals appeared in the cities of responsibility of SUEK-Krasnoyarsk.
