T2, a Russian mobile operator, has speeded up the Internet in settlements near Krasnoyarsk.

Thanks to the expansion of the 4G network bandwidth, suburban residents can communicate more comfortably on social networks, use government services, watch videos, study and work online.

The operator expanded the frequency band – refarming – in the urban villages of Emelyanovo and Berezovka, the villages of Drokino, Zykovo, Shuvaevo, Esaulovo, the villages of Startsevo, Minino, Ermolaevo, Kindyakovo, Kubekovo, and the village of Sukhaya Balka.

The 2100 MHz radio frequency, on which only 3G Internet previously worked, began to be used for 4G/LTE. This made it possible to increase the network capacity; as a result, Internet speed increased by an average of 30%. Accelerated data transfer is available to all T2 customers using 4G smartphones.

The modernization primarily affected the processing of heavy traffic. Suburban residents can now watch videos in even higher quality and download and send gigabyte files faster. It has also become more comfortable to work and study online, conduct video conferences, use government services, and make purchases on marketplaces. Maximum Internet speeds exceeded 100 Mbit/s.

Previously, T2 has already accelerated the Internet using refarming in Krasnoyarsk, Sosnovoborsk, Zheleznogorsk, Zelenogorsk, Achinsk, Kansk, Kodinsk, Yeniseisk, Lesosibirsk, Bogotol, Uyar, Zaozerny, Ilansky, Shushenskoye, Sharypovo, Borodino, Nazarovo, Kuragino, Minusinsk and a number of other settlements throughout the region.
