Former president of PZU, Artur Olech, president of Trasti


Trasti has been operating in Poland since 2020, using a license from the Slovenian insurer Triglav under the EU freedom to provide services. The company, which already serves approximately 800,000 customers, in less than five years it collected PLN 700 million of gross written premium. In July 2025, the company obtained EUR 21 million of capital from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Triglav Group – which was the largest transaction of this type in Central Europe this year.

Artur Olech from PZU to Trasti. The company comments
— Artur brings many years of experience in managing the largest insurance organizations in Poland and deep knowledge of the financial market and its environment. Combined with Trasti's knowledge, this constitutes valuable capital for us – said Janusz Wojtas, chairman of the company's supervisory board, who will take up his position in this body again after Olech's return. — We are entering a new stage of development supported by strong institutional investors. We are focused on building a lasting position as a leader in digital insurance in Poland and the region, he added.
Olech's return to the private industry comes nine months after the end of his term at PZU. He had been at the head of the largest Polish insurer since April 2024, and his departure in January 2025 was preceded by a wave of internal audits and the submission of several notifications to the prosecutor's office regarding irregularities detected in the group companies. During his term of office, the PZU development strategy until 2027 was also developed.
