The attacks caused heavy fires, but the information has not yet been officially confirmed by Kiev, according to Mediafax.
Ukrainian forces allegedly launched attacks on two major industrial targets in western Russia, a refinery and a chemical plant, as part of a new series of strikes on Russian energy infrastructure, local Telegram channels report, quoted by the international press.
In the Ulyanovsk region, the NS-Oil refinery in the town of Novospasskoye was reportedly hit, and images published online show a massive fire.
Witnesses say the flames quickly spread over a large part of the facility.
The second attack would have targeted the Stavrolen chemical plant in Stavropol Krai, a subsidiary of the giant Lukoil, according to the Kyiv Independent.
Footage posted on social media shows an explosion followed by an intense fire inside the complex.
The plant produces benzene, polyethylene and other petroleum products used in Russia's war industry.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has so far not commented on the information, and the authenticity of the images has not been independently verified.
