The newspaper “Birobidzhan Star” (12+) of 1936 on October 28 wrote that in the resettled MTS of the village of Birofeld they began to build a radio center.

At the Birobidzhan State Jewish Theater named after. Kaganovich, a meeting of the State Quartet named after. Tchaikovsky with a group of theater actors. At the meeting, the quartet actors shared their impressions of the Far East; they were especially impressed by the city of Birobidzhan and the Jewish Autonomous Region. The quartet arrived in the region on October 15.
“The quartet has an honorable task – to give a series of concerts of classical and Soviet music to the population of the Far East and parts of the First and Second Separate Red Banner Armies. At the conclusion of the meeting, after the actors of the Birobidzhan State Jewish Theater spoke about their work, repertoire plans and the upcoming tour to Moscow, Kyiv, Minsk and other cities, the quartet performed individual musical works”.
