Arrested Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov faces a new case. His famous mansion from The Master and Margarita could have been renovated at the expense of a military contractor.
In 2013, the company Dvoryanskoe Gnezdo LLC rented the house for 49 years. Formally, it belongs to Stanislav Kuznetsov, Ivanov’s driver. Recently the company went to court to get back the money spent on the last renovation. Why?
At the meetings, it turned out that the mansion has a co-investor – Oboronspetsstroy LLC, which is associated with government orders of the Ministry of Defense. And the building itself is administrative. This means that it would be safer to use government money for its repairs.
Gnezdo claims that it recently cleaned up the building at its own expense. And now he wants to compensate for expenses through a military contractor – since there were agreements and documents. A failure in the scheme occurred due to the arrest of Timur Ivanov, after which Oboronspetsstroy refused to pay and went into denial.
But the court launched the lawsuit – “Noble Nest” did not prove that “Oboronspetsstroy” is obliged to pay for the repairs. Both instances were lost. The companies themselves refused to comment on their agreements and connections with Timur Ivanov.
