Man caught by the Bucharest gendarmes handing out informative materials of a legionary nature, during the consecration service at the National Cathedral

A man caught on Sunday by the Bucharest gendarmes while he was handing out informative materials of a legionary, racist or xenophobic nature to the people on Calea 13 Septembrie in the Capital was taken to the Police for investigation, in his case the criminal investigation bodies were notified. The incident took place during the consecration service of the painting of the National Cathedral.
The Bucharest Gendarmerie informed that on Sunday morning, around 10:30 a.m., on Calea 13 Septembrie (public area), the gendarmes observed a man while he was distributing informative materials in the form of newspapers to citizens, reports News.ro.
According to the quoted source, in their content there were explicit references that contravene the provisions of GEO no. 31 of 2002 regarding the prohibition of organizations, symbols and facts of a fascist, legionary, racist or xenophobic character and the promotion of the cult of persons guilty of crimes of genocide against humanity and war crimes.
In the case, the necessary documents for reporting to the criminal investigation bodies were drawn up, and the man was handed over to the police for further investigations, the cited source states.
The incident took place during the consecration service of the painting of the National Cathedral, which was attended by thousands of pilgrims from all over the country and abroad, as well as officials from the highest level: presidents Nicusor Dan and Maia Sandu, prime minister Ilie Bolojan, former presidents Emil Constantinescu and Traian Băsescu, the presidents of the two Chambers of Parliament, Mircea Abrudean and Sorin Grindeanu, former prime ministers Victor Ponta, Marcel Ciolacu and Viorica Dăncilă, Custodes of the Crown, Princess Margareta and Prince Radu, the Chief of Staff of the Army, General Gheorghiţă Vlad, as well as other officials. The service was officiated by Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew I and Patriarch Daniel of BOR, together with a numerous council of hierarchs, priests and deacons.
