Darius Olaru played in his professional career only for Gaz Metan Mediaș and FCSB. He arrived at the red-blue grouping in 2020 and since then he has collected 225 matches, 52 goals and 38 decisive assists, being also captain of the formation led from the bench by Pintilii and Charalamabous.
In peak form in 2024, Darius Olaru attracted the attention of several teams from strong European championships, but the transfer did not materialize. Later, in the winter camp, Olaru got injured and returned this summer. Darius Olaru played 20 matches this competitive season, scored 4 times and provided an assist.
