Assad Al Hamlawi, the striker from Craiova University, spoke about his passions outside of football. The top with Palestinian origins declared that he is passionate about parkour.

Al Hamlawi said that this passion comes from his childhood, when he had the older children at school as his role models. The Palestinian has translated his passion into football, celebrating athletically or attempting spectacular executions.

Al Hamlawi on his passion for parkour: “That's how I started climbing trees”

“In the beginning, I played several sports, not just football. I played basketball, handball, I even did parkour gymnastics. I did a lot, but I realized that I was quite good at football and channeled my energy into football.

I saw the older ones jumping, climbing trees, so I started climbing trees too.

Of course it's dangerous, to climb 5, 10 meters, it's quite high for a child. But for me the adrenaline is quite important, especially when I was younger.

I shocked my colleagues from Craiova when they saw how they were celebrating the goals. Likewise, Nsimba shocked us all. I did the same. It's fun, I hope we can celebrate with a backflip together someday,” Assad said, according to orangesport.ro.

Assad Al Hamlawi arrived at Craiova University this summer. Mihai Rotaru, the financier of Olten, paid no less than one million euros to bring the Palestinian from Slask Wroclaw.

Assad Al Hamlawi also played Angelholms, Helsingborgs, J-Sodra, Varbergs, Prime Bangkok and IK Oddevold. The Palestinian has played 18 games this season for Universitatea Craiova in all competitions, scoring 6 goals and providing two assists. It is quoted by specialized websites at 1.2 million euros.
