NADPU calls on the government to restructure the debts of Ukrenergo and not to raise electricity tariffs for businesses
NEC Ukrenergo has published updated draft tariffs for 2026: +24% for the transmission tariff and +45% for dispatching.
According to the executive director of the National Association of Extractive Industries of Ukraine (NADPU), Ksenia Orynchak, such a decision will increase financial pressure on the industry, which is already operating in conditions of war, falling exports and rising costs.
She emphasized that the new tariff includes additional costs of over UAH 9 billion for social programs and repayment of the company's debts, which is economically unjustified in the current conditions.
Business urged to postpone the tariff increase until the end of the war, and in the meantime – to restructure Ukrenergo's debt obligations in order to avoid a sharp financial blow to enterprises.
