Today, Tsitsipas told, on his X account, a funny incident from Chicago, when he was mistaken by a taxi driver for Antoine Griezmann, a player at Atletico Madrid.

I was picked up by a Serbian taxi driver in Chicago. He looked straight into my eyes and said «Antoine Griezmann?». I said no. He winked at me and said «Nice try». Looks like I'm playing for Atletico Madrid now“, the 27-year-old athlete wrote on X.

Griezmann is a 34-year-old footballer who started his career at Real Sociedad, but spent almost 10 seasons at Atletico Madrid. He has also been a constant presence in the French national team.

Tsitsipas announced on Friday, October 24, that he will not play in the final Masters 1000 of the year, Paris, choosing to focus on his recovery for next season.

Hello everyone,

Unfortunately, I will be withdrawing from the Rolex Paris Masters this year. I always enjoyed playing here and I really appreciated the great support from the Parisian and French fans. My focus now is on recovery and healing so I can come back stronger in 2026.

Thank you all for your understanding and continued support
