Consecration of the National Cathedral: The document pilgrims need for access and the rules imposed on them

On Sunday, October 26, the consecration of the National Cathedral (or the Cathedral of the Salvation of the Nation) takes place, an event for which thousands of believers in the country are expected. Pilgrims attending the consecration of the Cathedral must carry an identity document and follow a set of mandatory rules, according to Basilica, the news agency of the Orthodox Church.
According to the quoted source, in the absence of an identity document, no pilgrim can enter the consecration ceremony.
Pilgrims will also receive a badge that they are required to wear during the event. Losing the badge will prevent access to the esplanade.
The program of the Consecration of the National Cathedral will begin on Sunday, October 26, from 07:30.

What are the rules for pilgrims at the consecration of the National Cathedral
Other mandatory rules for pilgrims for tomorrow's event are:
- Pilgrims from the dioceses will not have access with the following things: white weapons (knife, pocket knife, etc.), sharp and sharp objects, narcotic substances, pyrotechnic elements (firecrackers, fireworks, etc.), folding chairs, glass bottles.
- Pilgrims can have a small bag with them, which will contain: a bottle of water and clothes adapted to the atmospheric conditions.
- People taking medication should only have the dose for that day with them. If the medicines have a special regimen, have the prescription with them.
- In the courtyard of the Cathedral of the Salvation of the Nation, on the esplanade, it will be stationed in the area where the diocese was assigned. That space is fenced off. Access will be made only on the indicated routes.
It is also not allowed to pass with cameras or other devices, apart from the phone.
“Since the SPP will be present at the event, these rules are mandatory, and their violation leads to the prohibition of access inside the esplanade!”, Basilica states.
Pilgrims do not have access, during the service, to the Cathedral and are not allowed to move to areas other than those where they have been assigned to stay.
The consecration service of the painting of the Cathedral of the Salvation of the Nation starts at 10:30 and ends at 12:30.
“Communion will not be given to any pilgrim from the dioceses after the end of the Holy Liturgy. After the end of the Holy Liturgy, an anafura, water and a sandwich will be given to each pilgrim from the diocese,” according to the cited source.
The entrance to worship in the Holy Altar will be done in the following order: first the official guests (3000 people), then the organized groups from the dioceses (9000 people), in the order in which they are closer to the steps of the Cathedral.
