Artemi Panarin was accused of sexually assaulting a New York Rangers employee.
As reported by The Athletic, last year the Russian striker and the company that owns the NY club paid compensation to the girl after she filed a report against the athlete.
She left the organization in 2024 after reaching agreements that included a non-disclosure clause and a not guilty plea. Therefore, no one knew anything about history.
Before the playoffs, information suddenly surfaced. American media write that everything happened in December 2023 during the team’s away series. Panarin allegedly took the phone from the victim and stated that he would return it only if the girl came up to his room. I agreed and came. The hockey player then pinned her to the bed. But she was able to break free and leave the room.
There are no official comments from Panarin himself or the victim.
