The crews immediately moved to the scene, where they found the man on the balcony of an apartment on the third floor. The police repeatedly tried to have a dialogue with him, but without success.
The door of the apartment was locked, and attempts to contact the man from a neighboring apartment also failed. Crews from ISU Vâlcea also came to support, who started preparing the means of intervention, including the pneumatic mattress.
During these preparations, the man jumped from the third floor. Medical crews performed resuscitation maneuvers, but unfortunately, he — a 52-year-old man — was pronounced dead.
After the incident, the police entered the apartment, where they found no other people. A penknife with traces of blood and a note addressed to his partner were discovered on a table, according to the same source.
The representatives of IPJ Vâlcea stated that the man had an open wound on his neck, and the elements identified in the house support the hypothesis of a “suicidal act”.
A criminal case was also opened for “manslaughter”, the investigation to establish all the circumstances in which the tragedy occurred.
