Footage of the moment the USR counselor walks in on the students in a hotel room: “I beat you all”
The video images of the moment when the local USR councilor Daniel Meze from Florești entered a hotel room at night where students were staying and threatened him. In the footage released, the counselor can be heard telling the children to “beat you all up”, and one girl is visibly frightened by his aggressive attitude. Following the incident, the Police opened a criminal case.
From the images, it can be seen that Daniel Meze entered the room above the children, and his attitude and language were threatening. Moreover, a girl who can be heard on the recording is visibly scared by him. At one point, the USR councilor says “I beat you all”, citing that he is disturbed by the noises and cannot rest
The mother of one of the students described for Bistrițeanul.ro the scenes experienced by the children:
“They were in the room, both girls and boys, they were talking and laughing. At one point, a man came in on them, nervous. He grabbed one boy by the neck, another one hit him. And also he grabbed my girl by the hands and slammed her against the wall and another one he hit. I understood that he would have taken them out on the balcony and closed them, breaking the door handle… My girl had a panic attack, all trembled. They were at the police, they gave statements… Theoretically they have to stay there one more night, but I don't know how to tell you… I'm not in the mood at all… I think we're going after her, if she doesn't bring them home. I can't believe this!!!!” said the woman, according to Stiri de Cluj.

On Thursday, the councilor wrote a message on Facebook about the event he was involved in, calling it an unfortunate incident.
“I didn't have to go to the children and tell them to stop making noise, I didn't have to go a second time and scold them in their room. I had to call the police from the start to come and fine them. I didn't want to hurt them, for the police to come and get a fine. But now I am the one who suffers from the incident. All the press paid by public money by the mayor Pivariu from Florești is cutting me to pieces. They found a reason or rather I gave them a reason to denigrate me. After what happened I submitted 4 complaints to the Deva Police”, wrote, among other things, the councilor.
The police in Deva continue the investigation to establish the exact circumstances of the incident.
