CFR Călători has announced what will happen to the trains in circulation on the night from Saturday to Sunday, when the transition to winter time is made. On October 26, 4:00 a.m. will become 3:00 a.m.
Romania is preparing to switch to winter time. On the night of October 25 to 26, 4:00 a.m. (official summer time) becomes 3:00 a.m. (official winter time).
And the change to winter time will also have an effect on train traffic. All passenger trains that depart from the train stations after 4:00 a.m., i.e. summer time, will depart at the times specified in the current Train Schedule, respecting Eastern European time.
Passenger trains already running after 4:00 a.m. (summer time) will stop at the designated stations along the way and will stop until the departure time specified in the new timetable (Eastern European time).
Also, trains that have a short distance to go to the final station will continue their journey to their destination.
Considering that also in neighboring countries the transition from summer time to the official time of Eastern Europe takes place on the same day, October 26, 2025, between the border stations the international trains will run according to the timetable of the Train Running in force.
The switch to Eastern European time does not change the running of the trains in force.
