The “Best Food Product” competition has started in the Krasnoyarsk Territory; it has been held since 1997.
The winners will be determined in 35 categories. This year, 52 participants presented their products – a total of 327 samples. These include dairy, meat, confectionery, pasta, canned vegetables, fish, bakery, flour and cereal products and soft drinks.
“We are working to promote local products in the region and outside the region. The “Best Food Product of the Krasnoyarsk Territory” competition is an opportunity to express itself not only to large food production, but also to farms and agricultural cooperatives,” noted Dmitry Voropaev, Minister of Agriculture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The quality of the samples will be assessed by representatives of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, expert and public organizations, and scientists from the Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University. The main criteria are the appearance of the samples, consistency, color, taste, smell, as well as packaging design and reliability of product labeling.
The winners will have the opportunity to apply special markings to the best product and will be awarded memorable signs and valuable prizes.
The competition commissions will work from October 21 to October 31, 2025. The award ceremony will take place in December at the annual regional festival “Harvest Day”.
