Lennart Karl became Bayern Munich's youngest scorer in European cup history after opening the scoring in the 5th minute of their 4-0 win over Club Brugge in the third leg of their Champions League single group.
Aged 17 years and 236 days, Karl surpassed Toni Kroos, who in 2007, aged 17 years, 9 months and 21 days, scored in Bayern Munich's 3-2 win over Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Cup.

In his first game as a starter for Bayern Munich, Lennart Karl opened the scoring in the 5th minute of the match against Club Brugge in the third stage of the Champions League.
Thus, the German became the youngest scorer in the history of Bayern Munich, in European competitions.
The record was held by Samuel Kuffour, who scored in a 2-2 draw with Spartak Moscow in 1994. The Frenchman was then only 18 years and 61 days old.
Bayern Munich's record for all competitions is held by Mathys Tel, who scored for the Bavarians at the age of 17 years, 4 months and 4 days in a 5-0 German Cup win against Viktoria Koln.
Thanks to this win against Club Brugge, Bayern Munich ticked off their 12th consecutive success this season in all competitions.
