The head of the main department of culture, Lyubov Sakharova, presented to the deputies of the City Council the draft municipal program “Development of Culture in the City of Krasnoyarsk” for 2026 and the planning period 2027-2028. In total, more than 10 billion rubles are provided for a three-year period.
The mayor's office said that in 2026, major work will begin to design the renovation of iconic public spaces for the city's 400th anniversary. There are plans to develop design and estimate documentation for the improvement of Theater Square and Peace Square, including the modernization of the light and music fountain.
In addition, the development of design and estimate documentation for the improvement of the Central Embankment in the area from the Communal Bridge to the Yenisei Gallery will begin, with subsequent work being carried out. The city will improve the Yaryginskaya embankment. Work will also be carried out in Enthusiasts Park, where a dog walking area will appear. The list of improvements also included Cosmonauts Square.

In the Cheryomushki microdistrict, workers will begin to build a module for children's art school No. 9. The structure will appear on the site of an emergency school that was demolished. Bidding is currently underway to find a contractor.
It is planned to continue work to attract funds from higher budgets for the repair of city libraries. 44 libraries and 29 municipal institutions will be modernized to a single standard.
“We will continue to equip our adult and children's libraries with new books. We will not ignore our music and art schools; we will continue to improve the quality of additional education services. It is important to note that when forming the municipal program, the expenses of the Culture industry for 2026–2028 were taken into account in connection with the annexation of new territories to the city,” noted Lyubov Sakharova, head of the main department of culture.
Let us remind you that earlier it became known that in 2026 large-scale landscaping work will be launched in Tatyshev Park.
