T2, a Russian mobile operator, has launched a network in the village of Chirinda in the Evenki municipal district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Residents of one of the most remote settlements in the region received access to stable voice communications and the Internet.
The village of Chirinda is located in a remote area, in the area of the Putorana plateau, at a distance of several hundred kilometers from the nearest large settlement – the city of Norilsk. The village is home to 200 people, most of the population is engaged in hunting and fishing.
Thanks to the appearance of the T2 network in Chirinda, stable voice communications and mobile Internet became available for the first time. Residents can call, search for information on the Internet, communicate on social networks and instant messengers, and use government services.
The village is located in the forest-tundra zone. To ensure the operation of the base station in subarctic climate conditions, engineers equipped the infrastructure with special climate control units. They cool equipment in hot weather and heat it up in cold weather.

Providing communications to the village of Chirinda became part of the large-scale T2 program for the development of network infrastructure in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Previously, the operator launched a network in the village of Tutonchany, Evenki Municipal District, and the village of Katyryk, Taimyr Dolgano-Nenets Municipal District.
“For residents of Chirinda, the emergence of mobile communications is not just a new service, but an opportunity to stay in touch with loved ones, receive important information and use the necessary digital services. T2 continues to develop infrastructure in the most remote corners of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, making modern technologies accessible to everyone,” noted Yuri Kamalov, director of the T2 branch in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
