Although at an age when others have already hung up their boots, Lionel Messi still has a “golden” foot. He demonstrated it on the night of Saturday to Sunday in a big day show in Nashville. Inter Miami won 5-2 and he scored three of the winners' goals!

Nashville managed to come back by halftime, 2-1, but Messi got back on the scoreboard after the restart: penalty, 2-2 (min. 63). He then created the phase for 2-3, and in the 81st minute he scored himself, for 2-4, before providing the decisive pass to Telasco Segovia, for 2-5. Real football demonstration!

Afterwards, at the press conference, coach Javier Mascherano made a “bow” to his former Barcelona team-mate. “What can I say about Leo? The truth is that he was exceptional, as he usually is,” commented the Argentine.

Mascherano considers himself “lucky because I see Leo up close. Sometimes people watch him on TV and I'm closer. He's the best player who's ever played this game. He keeps proving that and I'm very happy with him.” For Inter Miami, the play-off starts again against Nashville!
