Road traffic will be restricted this weekend on several boulevards and streets in Bucharest, on the occasion of some events, the Road Brigade announced, reports Agerpres.
On Saturday, between 16:00 and 22:00, a public gathering will be organized on the occasion of the 'Cultural Event – Day Party @MARe', on Heleșteului Street – the segment adjacent to the side entrance of the Museum of Recent Art.
For the smooth running of the event, between 15:00 and 23:00, road traffic will be restricted on Heleșteului Street, the road segment between Armindenului Street and bd. Springs, without affecting intersections.
On Sunday, between 15:00 and 18:30, an event will be organized to prevent and combat all forms of violence against women, according to the following schedule:
- between 15:00 and 15:30, gathering of participants in the University Square – esplanade with statues;
- between 15:30 and 16:00, speeches in the University Square;
- between the hours of 16:00 – 17:30, movement of the participants on the first traffic lane, on the following route: University Square – Nicolae Bălcescu Blvd – Gheorghe Magheru Blvd – Romană Blvd – Lascăr Catargiu Blvd – Victoriei Blvd (central square) – end point;
- between 17:30-18:00, speeches in Piața Victoriei (central square)
- between 18:00 and 18:30, individual check-in of the participants.
Also on Sunday, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Bucharest will organize a religious procession, according to the following schedule:
- between 14:30 and 15:00, gathering of participants in the area of the 'Pope John Paul II' Statue, at the intersection between Schitu Măgureanu and Constantin Stahi str.;
- between 15:00 and 15:45, the movement of the participants will take place along the following route: Schitu Măgureanu str. – Știrbei Vodă str. – Luterana str. – General Berthelot str. – St. Joseph's Cathedral.
For the smooth running of the event, road traffic will be restricted (with the exception of STB) between 14:30 and 15:30, on Pictor Stahi str. (the road segment between Schitu Măgureanu str. and Știrbei Vodă str.), as well as on Schitu Măgureanu str. (the road segment between Grigore Cobălcescu str. and Știrbei Vodă str.).
Travel will be on lane I, heading towards St. Joseph's Cathedral.
