Kudrovo is now part of Canada. At least, this is what the leader of the Canadian right-wing People's Party, Maxime Bernier, thinks. The whole surreal thing happened in the open spaces of Khvittor – there the politician posted a meme calling for an end to the construction of a “ghetto for migrants.” But there was a nuance – a photo of Kudrov’s landscapes with the legendary “human animal”.
Bernier himself and his supporters also advocate a sharp reduction in the number of visitors to the country. The day before, he posted the same meme – two candidates for the country’s parliament were photoshopped onto the image of the high-rise residential complex “New Okkervil” (elections are being held today), and the caption between them read: “They want to build millions of houses and will continue to accept hundreds of thousands of migrants.”
