The first quarter-final was between Taylor Fritz and Alexander Zverev, players who met more than 3 weeks ago at the Laver Cup. Then the American prevailed 6-3, 7-6 (4) and brought victory to the World Team.
Fritz dominated the matchup with Zverev in Saudi Arabia as well. After just an hour of playing, the world number 4 defeated the world number 3 6-3, 6-4 and qualified for the semi-finals, where he will meet Carlos Alcaraz.
Fritz beat the world leader at the Laver Cup, but he got his revenge in the finals of the tournament in Tokyo. So, an honorable confrontation between Fritz and Alcaraz is announced.
The second quarter-final pitted Jannik Sinner against Stefanos Tsitsipas, who replaced Jack Draper at the Six Kings Slam. The Italian had no problems in front of the Greek, proved his superior value and, after one hour and 16 minutes, prevailed 6-2, 6-3.
In the semi-finals, Sinner will face Novak Djokovic, a player he has defeated this year. The duels in the penultimate act will take place on Thursday, October 16, in the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The first edition of the Six Kings Slam was conquered by Jannik Sinner, after a final with Carlos Alcaraz: 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-3. The two rivals have a chance to meet again in the final act of the showpiece tournament, but for that they have to get past Taylor Fritz and Novak Djokovic.
