Red Star – FCSB. Impact scenography at the start of the match in Belgrade, from the main group of the Europa League. Serbian fans displayed a huge message dedicated to Romanians: “Orthodox Brothers” (no – orthodox brothers).
The friendly relationship between Romanian and Serbian fans is well known, and this aspect was also felt at the Europa League match.

Steaua Roșie – FCSB started with a spectacular moment on the lawn of the hosts. Delije Sever, one of the feared Serbian fan factions, prepared a huge scenography, in which they displayed the flag of Romania next to the flag of Serbia, under the large message, written in white letters: “Orthodox Brothers”.
A good part of the “Delije” lawn was completely covered by the huge banner.
The scenography was high from the beginning of the game until the first minutes. The moment it was brought down, the whole stadium applauded. Around 22,000 fans were present at the match. Plus approximately 500 Romanians.
The red and blue gallery chanted “Serbia, Serbia” and the hosts responded with applause, every time. The moment was a rare one in the Europa League.
In the section reserved for the guests, there were approximately 400 FCSB supporters. Plus at least another hundred compatriots in the stadium.
Romanians and Serbs also chanted the name of Miodrag Belodedici, a former important player for Steaua Roșie and Steaua Bucharest. The former defender who won the Champions Cup with both clubs. Also present at the game.
Two stylized emblems appeared on the banner: the white eagle with the Serbian cross and the coat of arms of Romania, united under the same theme. A large white cross, an Orthodox symbol, was spread over them. Huge strips of material colored in the colors of the two countries were displayed on the side.
Two years ago, after the scandal caused on the National Arena, after Romania – Kosovo, when the Romanian ultras chanted and displayed the message “Kosovo is Serbia”, there was also a public reaction from the Red Star.
“The Romanian has only three brothers: the Danube, the forest and the Serbs. Thank you, Romanian brothers”, sent the ultras of Red Star Belgrade, who make up the famous “Delije” lawn, at a championship match.
