The second nuclear power plant in Poland. Donald Tusk revealed the possible location


— If a decision is made about the second location of the nuclear power plant, Bełchatów is at the top of the list – he assured. He added that the government was finalizing analyzes on this matter.

Tusk recalled that on the same day he visited the construction site of the first Polish nuclear power plant in Lubiatowo-Kopalino (Pomeranian Voivodeship). He emphasized that he understands the expectations of the Bełchatów region, which is preparing to move away from coal-based energy.
Energy: nuclear, wind and lower prices
The Prime Minister also talked about development wind farms in the Baltic Seawhich he described as “the most modern structures in the world”. He noted that Poland is building some of the largest farms in Europe.

In the context of high energy prices, Tusk expressed optimism. — I am convinced that from next year there will be no need to freeze energy prices, because they will naturally remain at their current level – he said.
Border with Belarus: we have achieved effectiveness
Tusk also referred to the barrier on the Polish-Belarusian border built during the PiS government. He assessed that “by definition it was leaky” and its construction was accompanied only by media activities.
— Thanks to additional large-scale investments, this barrier has been strengthened – he said. He added that the current government has introduced regulations that “actually allow us to protect the Polish border.”

The Prime Minister also touched on the topic salaries in education. He recalled that in the first days of his term, the government increased teachers' salaries by 30%.
