A Krasnoyarsk woman who attacked her 3-year-old son with a knife was found to have a mental disorder

In Krasnoyarsk, the investigation of a criminal case against a woman suspected of attempted murder of her son has been completed, the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported.
A comprehensive psychological and psychiatric forensic examination showed that a 37-year-old resident of the regional capital has a chronic mental disorder. At the time of the attack on the child, the woman could not realize the nature and danger of her actions. Experts recommended sending her for compulsory treatment in a psychiatric hospital.

Let us remind you that on August 8, in a hostel on Demyan Bednogo Street, a 37-year-old woman stabbed her 3-year-old son in the back. After that, she wounded herself, laid the boy on the sofa and covered him with a blanket. This is how they were found by the local police commissioner, who was conducting a preventive inspection.
Investigators opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 30, paragraph “c”, part 2, art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder of a minor). It turned out that the woman was registered with a psychiatrist, but the family was not on preventive care.
The criminal case was sent to the prosecutor's office. After approval of the documents, the court will decide on the application of compulsory medical measures.
