Three pensioners near Moscow suffocated with carbon monoxide while trying to warm up. Their bodies were found in the kitchen of a house in Khotkovo. These are a 63- and 67-year-old couple and a 96-year-old woman.
They lit a fire and forgot to open the chimney damper. The relatives were found yesterday at a table with potatoes, mushrooms and sprat on it. The Moscow Region Investigative Committee is also considering the version of food poisoning.
According to neighbors, the family arrived at the house on the 30th. Since then there has been no contact. The bodies were discovered by local residents yesterday.
