The interim mayor of Bucharest, Stelian Bujduveanu, told Digi24 that the municipality is unable to give fines for illegally parked cars, because the Ministry of Interior does not allow access to the database with car owners.
The Bucharest City Hall is in a four-year trial with the General Directorate of Driving and Registration of the Ministry of Interior, which refuses to give access to the database with the owners of the cars illegal. The parking company has issued, in the last five years, notes for finding cars illegally parked 700,000 lei, but the money will be collected only after the City Hall gets access to the database from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
