At the same time, the detection rate of online crimes reached 26.7%. Since the beginning of the year, 618 criminal cases of theft committed using information and telecommunication technologies have been sent to the regional courts.
In the last week alone, 178 residents of the region lost a total of more than 40 million rubles. In 9 cases, citizens suffered from the actions of scammers who offered to make money on fake crypto exchanges; 48 people believed false employees of special services and organizations who promised to protect their “well-being”; 45 residents followed phishing links to fake online stores; in 76 cases, the victims became victims of unidentified persons who acted through deception and abuse of trust.
For each of the facts, criminal cases have been initiated and are being investigated.
