The Ministry of Defense of Afghanistan transmitted that the opening of fire on Pakistani Border Station was a response to the air attacks launched by Islamabad on the Afghan territory at the beginning of the week.
Pakistan responded with artillery shots and firearms, saying that he caused victims among Afghan troops, but without giving figures.
The quoted source states that the information could not be verified independently. Both states claim to have destroyed the other party's border stations. Pakistani officials have published video images that would show the Afghan positions hit by artillery.
Fire exchanges decreased on Sunday morning, but in the Kurram area, along the border, a few shootings have been heard.
The Ministry of Defense in Afghanistan announced that his operation had ended at midnight, and later Kabul confirmed that he stopped the attacks on Qatar and Saudi Arabia, countries that expressed concern about escalating violence.
Despite the announcement, the spokesman of the Taliban administration, Zabihullah Mujahid, said the fights continue in some regions.
Islamabad accuses the Taliban regime of houses fighters of the Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group, responsible for attacks on the Pakistani territory-accusation rejected by Kabul.
The Pakistani air attacks, which were not officially confirmed, would have targeted the TTP leader at Kabul, but it is not clear if he survived.
